Hello and Welcome!

My name is Aiman Akhtar and I'm a 3D modeler who specializes in stylized character development for animation and 3D print. 

After 6 years of working at various commercial studios in Chicago for top brands including Harley-Davidson, McDonald's and Hotels.com, I left to pursue a career in entertainment design in Los Angeles and have since worked for vfx, animation and game companies including  3Blackdot, Aaron Sims Creative,  Alliance Studios, Method, Nickelodeon, Psyop and Stoopid Buddy Studios.

I'm also the founder of my own character development/3D printing company, 3D Smiths LLC, as well as resident 3D print expert at Mold3D Academy, where I teach 3D Printing for ZBrush Artists and share tutorials on my projects and the 3D printing industry. Since 2015 I've tackled 3d printing for animation, collectible toys, products, jewelry, wearables, and even a fully 3D printed costume.

I primarily use ZBrush, Maya, Modo, Photoshop and After Effects, and have experience with Cinema 4D, Vray, Nuke, Substance Painter and Mental Ray.
